Dear Terry Fox Families

We hope everyone has had a restful and enjoyable summer. The school is spotless and ready to be filled with the smiles and excitement of over 600 students this year. We can’t wait for your child to join us for a fabulous year of learning!   

Our main office opens on Wednesday, August 27th, and the first day of classes for students is Tuesday, September 2nd. Your child’s teacher will send you an email on Friday, August 29th with information about their homeroom class and where to meet on the first day.  

Classes are 9:00am – 3:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00am – 1:00pm (Fridays). School doors will be open beginning at 8:50 a.m. every day.  

Please review the Back to School information available on our school website. Additional information will be sent via email by end of day on Friday August 29 pertaining to the school calender, bell times, and how to create a MyCBE parent account. 

If you have any questions, or if your family’s circumstances have changed and you will not be attending Terry Fox in the fall, please email the school at terryfox@cbe.ab.ca and let us know details as soon as possible. Don’t forget to include your child’s first and last name in your email.  

Below you will find a list of school supplies that will be needed for each student. Please have your students bring their supplies on the first day of school.  

Terry Fox School Supply List (all grades):

  • Backpack 
  • 2x 2” binders (one for math/science and one for English language arts/social studies) 
  • 2 packages of binder dividers  
  • Pencils (approx. 12, preferably HB, regular or mechanical) 
  • 4-6 erasers 
  • 1 box of black or blue pens 
  • 3 highlighters (preferably different colours) 
  • Pencil case 
  • Package of lined paper  
  • 2 duotangs (1 for health and one for options class) 

Each classroom will have bins of pencil crayons, markers, rulers, scissors, calculators, glue sticks, stapler and hole punch for shared student use. Throughout the school year, we ask you to please monitor your student’s supplies and replenish them as needed.
